When Sarasota County residents purchase or renew their License for Learning plate, $20 will be donated to the Education Foundation of Sarasota County, a not-for-profit organization that supports our local schools. Your contribution will be used to support Sarasota County public school objectives such as the the PALS School Volunteer Program, which includes a one-on-one reading tutor program for struggling students, and the Edge of Excellence Classroom Grant Program that awards funds to teachers for innovative classroom projects that ignite student learning. The Education Foundation funds classroom grants, scholarships, and programs to recognize outstanding teaching in local schools.
